Who are we looking for?

Infrastructure Systems Engineer is a person who will be designing, developing, and implementing infrastructure in our Distribution Center. In this role a good understanding of high-tech production infrastructure, automation services will be vital to be successful.

The team you will be working in consists of 5 colleagues and a Manager.

Together you are responsible for the IT hardware and infrastructure of our warehouse. You are a jack-of-all-trades in the field of ICT technology. You show initiative, know how to analyze customer questions and prioritize. This means that you can listen carefully, have empathy and think in terms of solutions. You are prepared to take that extra step. If you cannot figure it out yourself, you can fall back on the knowledge and expertise of your colleagues.

  • Microsoft Technologies: Windows Server 2012/2016/2019; MS SQL; Active Directory; Multi Factor Authentication; Remote Desktop Services; O365 AD Integration
  • Linux: RedHat Enterprise Linux 7/8
  • VMware technologies: vSphere; Clustering, Replication Services
  •  Hyperconverged infrastructure: Nutanix
  • Storage Area Network and related technologies: Pure Storage; Lenovo; Brocade
  • Server hardware: Dell; Lenovo
  • Workstations and Laptops: Dell; HP
  • Printing solutions (Label printing as well as Delivery Notes and other documents)
  • Barcode Scanning

What will you do:

  • Design & configure infrastructure by analyzing the current system environment,
  • Use technical tools and utilities and perform product customization,
  • Develop implementation and verification procedures for system/hardware,
  • Perform test plans (integrity, stress tests, functionality),
  • Manage and maintain Backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Ensuring the continuity and availability of the system and applications
  • Installation and maintenance of PCs, Laptops, Mobile Terminals, (label) printers and barcode scanners
  • Solving and following up on incidents
  • Documenting the various systems and processes
  • Advising on new systems and applications
  • Continuously improving IT services

Who you are:

  • You have a completed IT education at MBO+ level or you have reached an equivalent level through courses.
  • You have good knowledge of Networks, ICT Technology and ICT operating systems and have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar position
  • You are preferably in possession of relevant and recent Microsoft Certifications
  • You have knowledge of virtualization (VMware)
  • Knowledge of Veeam is an advantage
  • Experience with Storage environments
  • Experience with back-up and disaster recovery architecture and operations
  • You are familiar with ITIL and working with ticket systems
  • You have in addition to Dutch a good knowledge of the English language in word and writing (German language is an advantage)
  • You have a proactive attitude and are result-oriented
  • You are able to work in a structured way and to document well
  • You have a sense of responsibility and are precise and accurate
  • You are stress resistant and you feel at home in a dynamic environment
  • You are eager to learn and you are prepared to share your experience and knowledge with your colleagues
