Under the general direction of the Radiologist and/or Radiology Director/Manager/Team Lead, the technologist will:
- Safely perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including procedures in surgery and portable exams.
- Participate in performance improvement and quality control.
- Work within the guidelines established in the policies and procedures manuals.
- Comply with all radiation safety procedures.
- Work in accordance with the JCAHO, state and other regulatory or accreditation agencies.
- Perform a variety of tasks to comply with the record keeping required by regulatory or accrediting agencies.
- Provide care for patients in all age groups and degrees of acuity.
- Consistently complete all required documentation in Meditech and PACS.
- Have strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication
- Be flexible and self-motivated, a team builder and team player.
- Be able to interact with patients, physicians and customers in a pleasant, positive and courteous manner.
High school diploma or equivalent
Registry in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Current Kansas License or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
Current BLS certification
Minimum of one (1) year of work related experience in Diagnostic Radiography preferred
New graduates will be considered
