Requisition Number: S_200555 Department: USMARC-0937 Description of Work: Assists in all trade leads in phases related to renovation or preservation of all USMARC buildings and associated climate control systems. Climate control systems includes: boilers, chillers, deaerators, walk-in coolers and freezers, ultra colds and small autoclaves, air compressors, hot and cold circulation pumps. Maintains domestic wells and condensing wells. Maintains fire alarm systems and service both passenger and freight elevators. Assists building occupants with miscellaneous tasks as needed. Performs or assists with new construction as needed, includes: electrical, plumbing, masonry, concrete, flooring, insulating pipes and walls, etc. Maintains all HVAC and other systems requiring filter service. Must be able to work on a ladder. Coordinates assignments and work orders with maintenance personnel. Ensures all work is done according to codes and regulations. Works with contractors as to clarification on prints, training on new equipment, new maintenance schedules and spare parts lists, punch list, and warranty work. Remains on-call as needed to maintain all systems operations at continuous service levels. Minimum Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in building systems operations and maintenance plus two years of experience in building systems operation, maintenance and repair; equivalent education/experience considered. Must knowledge, skills and ability to operate, maintain and repair building operational systems. Ability to work on a ladder. Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Building systems training in refrigeration and HVAC systems. Training in electrical, carpentry, plumbing and concrete. Experience in refrigeration and HVAC operation, maintenance and repair. Experience in electrical, carpentry, plumbing and concrete. Knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC systems, electrical, carpentry, plumbing and concrete. Refrigeration, HVAC license/certification. Posted Salary: $18.320/hr minimum Job Type: Full-Time
