Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized area is required or equivalent experience. J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, or NASA std’s certification may be required within 30 days of hire.

In this entry level quality assurance position, the Quality Specialist will compare defects against standards and recommend disposition. You’ll review and disposition QA documentation, verify corrective action implementation and implementation of rework. You’ll participate in audits and team meetings. Your primary purpose is to assure performance to existing processes and policies, representing customer and monitoring project or program performance. Basically, you’ll test your skill and knowledge each and every day by working with the best of the best.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized area is required or equivalent experience. J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, or NASA std’s certification may be required within 30 days of hire
  • Clear understanding of basic electrical or mechanical technology, drawing interpretation, and workmanship standards
  • Skilled in using basic inspection/measurement tools

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Entry level quality assurance position
  • Compares defects against standards and recommend disposition
  • Reviews and dispositions QA documentation
  • Verifies corrective action implementation
  • Verifies implementation of rework
  • Participates in audits and team meetings
  • Generates and/or verifies traceability information
  • Verifies compliance to defined processing
  • Authors QA processing documentation
  • Participating in internal and external auditing
  • Participating in quality control metrics and analysis
  • Interfacing with coworkers and customers
  • Primary purpose is to assure performance to existing processes and policies, representing customer and monitoring project or program performance

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of mechanical technology
  • Working knowledge of drawing interpretation
  • Working knowledge of workmanship standards
  • Skill in using PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Skill in using basic inspection/measurement tools
  • Working knowledge and understanding of documentation, processing and production paperwork
