As part of this growth, we are searching for a dynamic and innovative new member to join our team in Millsboro, DE as an IT Storage Virtualization Engineer. The primary role of the IT Storage Virtualization Engineer is to provide guidance to the Information Systems department in its charge to provide, operate, and maintain server visualization, disk storage and backup software, operating systems, equipment, and services that meet the needs of the overall organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage Virtual Server Hosting Environment (Vmware), support new system implementations, apply software patches to correct software problems, keep software up to date
  • Works with management to respond to needs, as individual contributor, stay abreast of industry advancements
  • Budget preparation. Develop or help develop guidelines, standards and procedures
  • Provide expected availability and performance to maintain data center equipment and services
  • Protect company assets (Data and Hardware) Adheres to guidelines, standards and procedures

Qualifications include:

  • B.S. degree Computing Science or Engineering
  • 3+ yrs. in Data Centers, 3+ yrs. in Storage Area Networks, 3+ yrs. in in Vmware & Microsoft Server OS
  • Ability to plan, build, install and manage large scale Vmware, SAN/NAS storage and backup/recovery systems
