Job Summary:

The Bulk Gas Sales Specialist will manage the sales and marketing functions for bulk gases and related equipment. You will be responsible for developing and executing regional, company specific, bulk gas marketing plans and being a support resource. The main duties are to target bulk gas customers and to promote Airgas product offerings to customers and prospects. As well as planning and implementation of bulk gas sales training to inside and outside sales associates.

Essential Functions:
  • Identifies and develops strategic alliances with group purchasing organizations in order to leverage Airgas' distribution capability in the area of bulk gas
  • Provides input to the development of strategic bulk gas marketing plans and reviews progress of sales goals
  • Documents and coordinates the distribution of competitive market activity
  • Develops and provides sales proposals and presentations
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and resource regarding bulk gas sales
  • Promote specific "niche" products to the regional sales specialists, associates, and/or customers.
  • Support the effort of regional specialists and sales associates by coaching them to increase sales of the bulk gas business initiatives
  • Plan and implement product training for bulk gas and act as technical resource in the specialty area of bulk gas.
  • Identifies, coordinates, and participates in trade association meetings to promote Airgas and Airgas products.
  • Other duties as assigned



Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • 5+ years of experience selling industrial gases and equipment to independent distributors and customers while working for an industrial gas producer or manufacturer
  • Proven track record of achieving significant sales growth and meeting sales goals
  • College degree - preferred
