Product Manager/ Internet of Things (IoT) Architect

Location: Kingwood, Texas

The primary focus of this role is working with key technology (IT/OT) and operations stakeholders to develop, execute and oversee the Global Internet of Things (IoT) roadmap for all Orion sites. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for IoT/IIoT (Industrial-IoT) roadmap. Plan, orchestrate and execute related initiatives and projects. Manage involved resources such as Project Manager. Shape IoT vision and strategy together with business and IT teams.
  • Develop and maintain IoT and IIoT (Industrial-IoT) reference architecture, Standard Operating Environment (SOE) and blueprints tailored to organizational requirements.
  • Design, build and operate the shared enterprise IoT/IIoT platform leveraging Cloud and modern technologies for integrating, connecting assets and data from various applications across production facilities.
  • Ideate, enable and implement solutions leveraging IoT, Data Analytics and Digital technologies in collaboration with cross functional focus teams to drive efficiency and innovation. Build vital relationships with business functions and Operations to empower Digital initiatives.
  • Define, secure funding and deliver Proof-of-Values (PoV) with the objective to evaluate vendors and products to identify fit-for-purpose candidates for enterprise-wide rollouts.
  • Act as subject matter expert and technical escalation point for IoT and Industry 4.0 related topics including: IoT platform, Cloud & Edge computing, IoT hardware, sensors, connectivity, networking, integration, etc. Educate organization about capabilities.
  • Support the development and evolution of Cyber Security maturity across the organization incl. IT and OT.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or relevant discipline is strongly preferred for this role. A Master’s degree is a plus. 
  • At least eight years of experience in a global heterogeneous IT environment, which should include at least five years of experience in IoT/ IIoT are required for this role. 
  • Strong business acumen and customer service orientation are necessary for success in this role.
  • Certifications from Amazon and Microsoft are assets; certifications in TOGAF and cybersecurity are also pluses.
