This position is located in Warner Robins, GA and you will be the Mission Assurance Manager for the Subsystem and Software Sustainment (SSS) Operating Unit (OU). You will report to the Systems, Sustainment and Software (SSS) Business Unit (BU) Director of Quality and Mission Assurance. This position is the SSS OU Leadership Team's focal point for all Quality Management System activities, as well as new business development activities, and quality of the products and services. You will be functionally responsible for all Quality Program activities related to Production, Sustainment, Software, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development as well as Supplier Quality and EH&S.

You will need to apply your complete and thorough understanding of all facets of Quality as well as proven leadership, managerial, and communication skills across all levels of the company. You will use your superior ability to establish and nurture an excellent working relationship with all Customers both internal and external.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Lead a team of diverse, qualified professionals responsible for program quality, supplier quality, EH&S and facilitate a continuous improvement culture focused on increasing process effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Program Management and other functional entities in the development of quality and performance metrics in the areas of customer satisfaction, product/process performance, and supplier/subcontractor performance.
  • Communicate with various levels of the organization including but not limited to developing and delivering OU, Program and Customer Leadership briefs.
  • Ensure program and site compliance to contractual requirements as well as Site, Division, Sector and Corporate quality policies, processes and procedures.
  • Ensure the total integration of and adherence to quality requirements throughout all phases of design, planning, procurement, production, test, delivery and post-delivery support.
  • Execute, monitor, and report on the health of the quality system and the quality of the products and services produced across the site.
  • Participate in the proposal process and preparation and approval of project work packages, schedules, cost estimates and budgets.
  • Plan and manage the Quality department's manpower, budget, and physical assets.
  • Drive the corrective action process to ensure both timely and effective root cause analyses and preventative actions to support direct responses to Internal Issues, Customer Complaints and Supplier Discrepancies.
  • Support mission requirements, and ensure process and product visibility status is provided to the SSS OU Leadership Team and BU Quality and Mission Assurance Director.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree required and ten (10) years relevant experience or Master's degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of applicable experience.
2. A minimum of 5 years of relevant Mission Assurance managerial experience.
3. Quality engineering management experience in a repair/production environment
4. Expertise in Quality Management System (QMS) development, implementation, and maintenance to the ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
5. Strong working knowledge of CMMI
6. Expertise in Continuous Improvement concepts, processes and tools
7. Supplier Quality experience to include supplier quality requirements/management
8. Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.
9. Ability to obtain/maintain access to work on site at Warner Robins.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. A current Secret Clearance
2. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
3. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Manager
4. SAP experience
