McKesson is currently seeking a dynamic Sr Manager, Pharmacy PIC in our Louisville, KY office. Responsible for managing Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Technicians whom compounds and dispenses medications, compounds, agents and/or other pharmaceutical supplies according to established operational and chemical procedures as prescribed by the FDA, customers, physicians, or other qualified individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for agent repass, recalls and expiration dates.
  • Responsible for double blinded operations and emergency unblinding of patients as part of clinical study.
  • Supervise personnel in the labeling of agents and related activities.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparations of records, of expenditures, and progress reports.
  • Manages activity and direction of staff within a specific workgroup or discipline. Typically, first level line manager managing a group, department or district.
  • Has operational focus in area of functional, product or technical expertise.

  • Manages the daily activities of individual contributors, leads or supervisors performing similar tasks in a group, department or district.
  • Has accountability for results in terms of expenses, customer satisfaction, employees, programs, function or products.
  • Fully accountable for all people-management activities for subordinate staff and responsible for establishing goals and objectives for department.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & TYPICAL EXPERIENCE OR EQUIV. COMBINATION:
  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically has 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.
  • Licensed Pharmacist, PIC eligible
