Key Responsibilities

  • Intermediate knowledge of NPME role. Independently develops, implements, and releases new product BOMs for complex modules and product structure. Works with key stakeholders including but not limited to Design engineering, GPM, PLM, BMO and manufacturing to develop and implement new product manufacturing, test, and sourcing strategies.
  • Manages the development and validation of Operation Method Sheets (OMS) for medium complex modules.
  • Performs a 3D solid model virtual analysis process, including Master Layout (MLO) and Digital Mock-Up (DMU).
  • Perform BOM validation on new products/options.
  • Operational efficiency improvement feedback to new product development teams to drive cost, quality, and cycle time goals.
  • Orchestrates change requests and executes change control processes including Non-Standard Requests (NSRs), Change Control Board (CCB).
  • Candidate should have good knowledge of the Bill of Materials, BOM generation process, and change process in an ERP environment, Supplier Problem Sheets (SPSs), Engineering Specification Waivers (ESWs).
  • Master BoM, Manufacturing BoM, Manufacturing / Production process knowledge & concepts.
  • Order BOM comparison with Golden BOM and correcting the BOM issues through Order BOM Change Requests (OCR).
  • ERP knowledge as SAP would be an added advantage to analyze Late Change Request (LCR) for Order BOM against ECR/ECO Implementations.
  • Capability to analyze the order BOM Configurations and identify new techniques and Opportunities to reduce Exceptional Activity (EA).
  • Documents product-related issues/enhancement opportunities and performs Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA). Leads the disposition and resolution of issues requiring Long Term Corrective Action (LTCA) for project/program.
  • Ensure that all parts/kits are released to production status, engineering issues are resolved and all key functional deliverables are complete.
  • Provides technical support and training to Applied and contract manufacturing resources, including piece part suppliers related to new product introductions.

  • Desired Skills:
  • Extensive UG NX™ Modeling (Solid & Sheet metal), Assembly, Drafting & TC Vis-view knowledge.
  • AMAT CAP codes, Option & Variant knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • knowledge on Product Structure Management including Product Structure Tree & Product Option Architecture.
  • Basic knowledge of GD & T.
  • Knowledge on E3S schematic (Electrical/mechanical) read & review.
  • System engineering expertise will be an advantage
  • Knowledge on Engineering Change Management.
  • Knowledge on Manufacturing Build Documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with problem-solving skills. Willing to work in different shifts.
