Job Description:

Primary responsibilities for the Data Architect:
  • Define the data reference architecture, develop and deliver engineering design solutions, enabling and integrating AO Uniform datasets and tools, making them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program's lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement enterprise solutions using Scaled Agile methodologies and SecDevOps tools using cloud based concepts including Desktop as a Service (DaaS, e.g., VDI), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS); Software as a service (SaaS) and containerization concepts.
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to standardize existing data processes and optimizing current workflows.
  • Create Data Mapping documents, data dictionaries and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
  • Provide technical guidance and support to data development team.
  • No Shift Work required but may have to provide occasional after-hours support
  • Travel is less than 10%


Experience required:
  • 10+ years of experience designing and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
  • Extensive experience with database management systems (Oracle, PostGres, MySQL)
  • Familiarity with Serverless framework (Lambda, Step Functions)
  • Documented experience improving application, schema and data design to meet demanding enterprise data solutions.
  • Documented background in data warehouse design and dimensional modeling.
  • Excellent skills in DB Schema design and SQL development
  • Knowledge of visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Cognos and PowerBI)
  • Experience with Agile practices
  • Documented Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker, Ansible. Python development experience


Required Certifications:
  • 8570 Compliance (IAT II): https://public.cyber.mil/cw/cwmp/dod-approved-8570-baseline-certifications/
  • MS SQL Server Certification

Education Requirements:
  • BS/BA Degree in Information Technology or related field OR commensurate level of experience based on position level.


Clearance:
  • TS/SCI or Top Secret with SCI eligibility
