At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Mission Software Developer supporting the customer, you will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of a large scale, multi-tiered legacy web application. In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Working independently and as a team developing applications using Java
  • Directly communicating with and resolving end-user issues


Required Skills/Experience:
  • Must have experience with MVC web applications
  • Hands-on experience (5-7 years) with Spring, Hibernate and JSF
  • Experience working with Javascript, AJAX and Java EL
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Understanding of dev-ops tools such as Jenkins, Puppet, and AWS cloud storage
  • Apache Tomcat configuration and management

Optional experience and knowledge include:
• Development and usage of ReST services
• Maximo - asset management solution
• Oracle database
• Tableau and Cognos, data-visualization tools

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
  • Minimum of 15 years related experience
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Provides expert knowledge and guidance on the software or system process for optimal documentation and future maintenance and updates.

May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.

May serve as a mentor to experienced analysts.

May serve as team or task lead. (Not a people manager)

May act as a consultant across multiple programs and/or contracts within a Division.

Recognized as a subject matter expert in software development.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 15+ years of experience
