Job Description:

ARMA-Global is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to participate as a member of an integrated government/contractor team of technical and functional experts in the conduct of cybersecurity at USSOCOM. The office monitors USSOCOM networks and systems for cyber threats and works with stakeholders to mitigate and remediate identified cyber vulnerabilities. This position will:
  • Present tactical and strategic intelligence about threat groups, the methodologies they use, and the motivations behind their activity.
  • Use internal and external sources to provide context about the evolving threat landscape.
  • Run automated security tools and perform manual testing against environment to identify areas of risk.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings and reports to stakeholders.
  • Analyze large quantities of data and discover relationships and patterns.
  • Identify new threat TTP and signatures used by cyber threat actors.
  • Conduct studies and make recommendations to identify cyber threats, threat vectors, threat actors, and threat trends.
  • Analyzing a target's communication networks.
  • Analyzing essential network data (e.g., router configuration files, routing protocols).
  • Applying various analytical methods, tools, and techniques.
  • Conducting non-attributable research.
  • Determining appropriate targeting options through the evaluation of available capabilities against desired effects.
  • Identifying critical target elements, to include critical target elements for the cyber domain.
  • Identifying cyber threats which may jeopardize organization and/or partner interests.
  • Identifying how a target communicates.
  • Identifying leads for target development.
  • Skill in providing understanding of target or threat systems through the identification and link analysis of physical, functional, or behavioral relationships.
  • Recognizing denial and deception techniques of the target.
  • Recognizing significant changes in a target's communication patterns.
  • Skill in target network anomaly identification (e.g., intrusions, dataflow or processing, target implementation of new technologies).
