Eaton’s Hydraulics
division is currently seeking a Production Manager to join our team. This
position is based at our Searcy, AR facility.
Position Overview:
As the Production
Manager, you will be responsible for managing, directing, planning and
coordinating (through Manufacturing Supervisors & Team Leads) the
manufacturing activities of both machining and assembly sections in order to
meet plant objectives, and sales goals.
The Production Manager
will manage, direct, plan and coordinate (through Manufacturing Supervisors
& Team Leads) the manufacturing activities of both machining and assembly
sections in order to meet plant objectives, and sales goals. This position will
determine effect of production load changes on plant operations. Take action(s)
to adjust capacities (labor and/or equipment) to meet production requirements.
This position will review plant-operating practices ensuring that both
production and quality standards are maintained/enhanced. This position will
assure appropriate working climate by maintaining proper discipline, morale and
employee relations. Advise, guide, and counsel employees in relation to company
benefits, plant policy and regulations, employee programs, wage administration
and plant objectives.

In this function you
will:
+ Overall responsibility for
operations for the entire facility
+ Through regular contact with
Plant Manager and his staff, participate in planning and/or decision
making in matters concerning financial and operational problems, inventory
control, plant policy and facility/maintenance issues and staffing.
+ Recommend budgets and control
expenditures. Recommend wage or salary adjustments.
+ Operate and organize facilities
and equipment in line with company policies and procedures.
+ Enforce safe practice standards
maintaining a clean work environment.
+ Support the identification,
development, and drive implementation of new manufacturing methods,
equipment, material planning, quality improvement, and Lean and Six Sigma
methods.
+ Lead 125-175 employees through
front line supervisors the production of standard and engineered to order
products.
+ Embrace the different ideas,

+ General knowledge of Eaton
Quality Management System (EQMS).

Eaton
has announced it has reached an agreement to sell its Hydraulics Business to
Danfoss A/S. This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of Q1
in 2021 and this position is expected to remain with the Hydraulics Business
and would transfer to Danfoss A/S. upon close. The compensation and
benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s
plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this
position and are actively employed by the Hydraulics Business when the
transaction closes, Danfoss A/S will provide further details to employees
concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
Qualifications
Basic
(Required) Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited
institution is required.
+ Minimum five (5) years of experience
in an Operations or Manufacturing environment.
+ Minimum two (2) years of experience
with managing direct reports.
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United
States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.
Preferred
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or
Business.
+ Master’s degree or MBA from an
accredited institution.
+ Experience with Lean/Six Sigma.
+ Experience leading Continuous
Improvement initiatives.
+ Direct managerial experience within
Operations or Manufacturing environment.
+ Familiarity with machining and CNC
equipment
Position
Criteria:
+ An applied working knowledge and
experience with manufacturing procedures/practices, Lean/Six Sigma, safety
and quality assurance, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Inventory
Control, Purchasing and Production Planning.
+ Must possess persuasive skills
required of human relations and leadership style driving accountability.
+ Must be able to express ideas clearly
to direct, motivate and train subordinates.
+ Must be able to communicate clearly to
management, professionals, exempt and non-exempt employees in all matters
concerning production, quality, safety, product design, etc. to ensure
that manufacturing objectives are met.
+ Experienced with Visual Management
systems
