Eaton's Interconnect Technoloies Division is currently seeking a Mold Design Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Nogales facility.

The Mold Design Engineer is responsible for Define and implement the functions of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly, modification, design and replacement of molds, dies and tooling, ensuring compliance with product and process specifications, maximizing efficiency in the use of resources and favorably impacting operation indicators such as they are: Quality, Service and Cost.

Some activities related with the position will be:

+ Understanding of mechanical drawings (GD&T Certification)

+ Mold design (Type class 101,102,103 & 104 according to SPI)

+ Design and development of molding tools from inception to customer approval. (DFMEA development)

+ Establish strategies / parameters for the use of team capabilities

+ Maintain expertise in CAD, ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) standards, Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) design activities, manufacturing methods, and extensive knowledge of ASME Y14 standard series as well as ISO GPS standards.

+ Legacy drawing conversion, 3D solid creation, surface modeling and detail drawing preparation, component assembly, and bill of materials creation.

Required

(Basic) Qualifications:

+ Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical

Engineering, Engineering in Plastics (Polymers), Tool Engineering

+ 5 Years of experience in a similar position

+ Advanced English (reading, comprehension and

conversational)

+ French desired

+ Visa to travel to the United States

+ Solid Works, AutoCAD

+ GD&T Certification"
