Overview

 

Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer supporting the Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate (AFLCMC/HN) at the AF Life-Cycle Management Center (previously the Electronic Systems Center) at Hanscom AFB, MA.

The C3I&N Directorate’s primary mission is: Connecting Warfighters with Affordable, Secure, and War-Winning Cyber, C3I and Network Systems. The Directorate provides C3I connectivity, network, and infrastructure between Joint, Coalition, AF, and Allied countries space, air, terrestrial, and cyber domains. The Directorate in headquartered at Hanscom AFB, MA with 11 other operating locations. 

 

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE:   Candidate must have an active US security clearance.

 

CERTIFICATIONS: Security+ (required) ; CISSP (desired)

 

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:  10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD

OR, BA/BS degree, and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD

 

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: 

  • Must have previous hands-on ISSO, Assessor, or Continuous Monitoring experience with developing and/or updating information security documentation for NIST 800-53 security controls, including but not limited to information security policy, procedures, system security plans (SSPs), security impact analyses (SIAs), etc.
  • Expertise in understanding, implementing, documenting, communicating, and assessing NIST 800-53 security controls. Provide technical security evaluation support to the SCA during contractor assessment and authorization activities.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, PKI X509, SSO, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) via Personal Identity Verification (PIV) or Common Access Card (CAC) in a DoD environment.
  • Experience performing risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and security assessments IAW with Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoDI 8500.01, and DoDI 8510.01, AFI 17-101, AF Manual 17-1301 and other Cyber Security guidance and directives as applicable.
  • Advanced understanding and practical application of DoD policies and directives, USCYBERCOM guidance, NIST standard and RMF controls for DoD C2 Systems

 RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Ensure engineering activities (analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring) best meets (as resources allow) established requirements (e.g., RMF & DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide).
  • Assess and manage all aspects of Information Systems, data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation.
  • Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established Government security requirements.
  • Develop and execute security policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Assist the AOC Program in developing authorization package artifacts that satisfy Authorization Official requirements.
  • Participate in IT architecture design reviews to assess and ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements
  • Evaluate the continued effectiveness of implemented protection measures within the authorization boundaries
  • Create, review, and assess RMF related artifacts for acceptable implementation of cybersecurity principles to support development of Authorization to Operate (ATO) and Authorization to Connect (ATC) packages.
  • Support efforts of the AOC PMO by supplying Cyber Security requirements language for the organic sustainment support organization.
