Troubleshoot and diagnose any malfunction of design or defective areas of models and/or systems working with design engineers to determine corrective action. Work with design engineers to further develop units, making changes to improve systems and/or models to help eliminate manufacturing and assembly difficulties by using the latest state of the art technology.
Works with a minimum of supervision, receiving guidance and direction of a general nature. Exercises considerable judgment and initiative in solving complex design, assembly and fabrication problems.
Coordinate and provide information, guidance, and direction to lower classified personnel to enable them to perform detailed phases of assigned duties.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
High school or equivalent, with a working knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, drafting and physics and two years of college in engineering subjects or demonstrated equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Eight years of experience in the development of highly complex and state of the art electro-mechanical models and/or systems with demonstrated working knowledge of assembly and wiring, fabrication and machining.
