POSITION SUMMARY: 

 

Supports the gambit of supply and logistics operations for the A6 Forward in Qatar.  Responsible for establishing a A6 Forward commercial off-the-shelf supply channel and maintain liaison with the military aerial port personnel.  Responsible for maintaining inventory control of USAFCENT AOR assets.

 

 


Responsibilities

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

 

  • Ferry contract personnel to and from Military Aircraft (MILAIR) and civilian passenger terminals.
  • Ensure adequate stock/supply levels are maintained of personnel protective equipment, safety equipment, and consumable items.
  • Receive, maintain, and deploy contract-related inventory.
  • Inventory personal protective and chemical warfare equipment.
  • Guarantee adequate resource protection is provided for all contract inventories.
  • Coordinate separate storage arrangements for Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory/Test and Di-agnostic Measuring Equipment (PMEL/TDME) equipment or high-value assets.
  • Prepare assets for CONUS or Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) shipment and complete all required documentation.
  • Inventory, control, and coordinate the replenishment of a forward COTS supply point for items. This listing shall be updated quarterly and maintained in a continuity book.
  • Complete all required DoD and AF logistic-related forms, document the logistics process, and prepare and maintain a logistics coordinator continuity book.

Maintain inventory control of Government assets. Duties shall include:

 

  • Receive, store, inventory, issue, ship, and transfer assets, materials, supplies, merchandise to include equipment from Responsible Draw-down of Forces.
  • Serve as central receiving point for asset hardware deliveries and shipping.
  • Inspect shipments to verify the identity, quantity, and serviceability of the materials received are consistent with the invoice and/or shipping documents.
  • Coordinate with functional technicians to ensure defective equipment are repaired or disposed of.
  • Store articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size, or type of material.
  • Transfer unserviceable, obsolete, and/or condemned property to the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO), or other approved facility.
  • Provide status to customers on items that were issued, ordered, or shipped.
  • Conduct daily inspection of vehicles and material handling equipment to ensure safety and serviceability.
  • Maintain warehouse facilities in a clean and safe manner.
  • Issue requested material to requester and document each transaction in appropriate Government-furnished database and/or tracking system.
  • Record incoming assets in the appropriate Government-furnished database and/or tracking system, and af-fix bar-coded labels (as appropriate) to material.
  • Compile Monthly Report of inventory under the contractor’s control to be provided to the A6X.

 

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:  

Forklift: Must be able to operate a forklift up to 20K. License: Must have valid Stateside DL:

Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense and a Local (area of Operations) Driver License which allows operation of Flat bed, cargo box, and tandem trucks.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  1. Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
  2. Working environment will be 30% office and 70% outside.
  3. Work environment will also be extreme to very hot due to conditions within the region.
  4. Individual may be required to climb ladders and will require periods of prolonged standing and sitting.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

 

Must meet the certification requirement in individual task order. Associates Degree in any discipline from an accredited institution or DoD Integrated Logistics Support training.

 

Experience:

GENERAL

Intermediate experience in logistics/supply management, cargo, and transportation within the last 10 years. Must be cognizant of military and commercial transportation requirements, methods, services, procedures, and documentation. Must have an in-depth knowledge of the logistics of medium-scale deployments to forward areas. Prefer several years of OCONUS experience and experience with USAF-specific procedures and documentation.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

Intermediate experience with the following:

  • USAF logistics/supply protocols, procedures, forms
  • DoD and AF forms including: AF Form 9 (Request for Purchase), AF Form 601 (Equipment Action Request), AF Form 2005 (Issue/Turn-in Request), DD Forms 1575 and 2332 (Product Quality Deficiency Tags), DD Form 1149 (Shipping Document)

Skills:

 

Must be familiar with all aspects of Air Force Supply and Logistics operations.
