Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Configuration Management Engineer to join our team in the Hill AFB, Ogden, UT area. This will be supporting the Integration Support Contract (ISC) 2.0.  Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon systems.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes engineering change proposals, design reviews, audits, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of computer-based configuration, data management systems and electronic data systems, and electronic data support.
  • Develops and designs configuration/data management documentation.
  • Monitors contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure standards and requirements are being met.
  • Identifies requirements and the development and implementation of computer-based configuration, data management systems, and electronic data systems
  • Develops and implements new processes.
  • Leads tasks and supervises staff in preparing configuration management plans and procedures, performs configuration audits, monitors trouble reports and change requests, evaluates and selects tools to automate the change control process, and provides status accounting support.
  • Assists in the evaluation, definition, standardization, and tracking of data elements and object names.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering Management, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field + 10 years of experience
  • OR
  • MS degree + 7 years of experience
  • OR
  • PHD + 4 years of experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of Configuration Management requirements as specified in Air Force Regulations and industry standards
  • In-depth experience in configuration or systems management
  • Knowledge and ability to apply complex management and administrative principles
  • Understanding of system equipment specification use and maintenance
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings and contractor engineering control/release processes
  • Ability to interpret policy and procedures applicable to configuration management functions, and to tailor them to program requirements
  • Understanding of estimating/pricing techniques as related to proposal evaluation
  • Knowledge of, and skill in, the use of principles of negotiation as required to reconcile diverse opinions that can arise from conflicts in ECP evaluation/contracting, design reviews, and audits
  • Substantial knowledge of system program office and contractor operations and familiarity with the various management and technical disciplines involved, sufficient to enable understanding of technical and procurement terminology and  procedures
  • Contractor shall obtain and maintain certifications as required by current versions of AFMAN17-1303, DoDI 8570.01 -M, and other applicable laws and regulations
  • Professional Engineering License desired
  • Systems Engineering Certification desired
  • Other relevant core and advanced certifications as established/required per local, national and international industry standards or as necessitated by performance expectations associated with level of appointment



Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to receive and maintain a Top-Secret Level Security Clearance
