Senior Research Analyst

Job Description Summary

The Senior Analyst is responsible for all local research output. This position provides support in developing pitch and/or proposal materials, as well as local thought leadership. The Senior Analyst is accountable for proactive and routine maintenance of proprietary and third-party databases. The position will serve as quality control auditor to ensure accuracy of reports, data and adherence to corporate standards. This position may specialize by property type.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Trains, supervises and mentors Analysts
  • Oversees and directs local quarterly data compilation and statistical production including forecasting and client requests
  • Coordinates and fulfils all research requests
  • Ensures research teams are meeting needs of local fee-earners
  • Contributes to Market thought leadership
    • Provides research information for use by Managing Principal and Brokers in media interviews
    • May work with marketing to publicize market trends and analysis to social media platforms and website
    • Makes recommendations for the design and development of new products and services
  • Manages the production and distribution of analytical local research materials
  • Due to increased years of experience, performs higher level, more in-depth analysis and written reports than at the Analyst level
  • Attends, participates in and presents market information and quarterly updates at branch sales meetings, client pitches and presentations
  • Share best practices within and across market or offices

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate industry or research-related field
  • Professional acumen, understanding of commercial real estate
  • Experience in data entry/data management and time series analysis/forecasting
  • Experience in developing forward-looking insights
