Position Overview:

Job Summary:

Working with and under the direction of the Diagnostic Imaging Services Manager/Director to provide complete communication, scheduling, and imaging management for the purpose of delivering quality healthcare to our patients.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Greets patients for Imaging Services
  • Uses Radiology Information System to register, schedule and track patient's information
  • Receives and confirms radiographic requests
  • Provides productivity and teamwork to the department
  • Performs clerical functions as needed, including use and maintenance of a fax, copy machine or printer.
  • Recognizes emergency situations that require immediate attention in a timely, accurate and efficient manner per department policy
  • Follows the commitment to excellence and treats patients, families, visitors and each other with courtesy, dignity, respect and professionalism



Qualifications:

Job Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent education experience
- Ability to type at least 30 WPM

- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant job experience preferred

- Six months experience in a medical facility preferred
- Formal training in medical reception through technical schools, junior college or correspondence courses preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)

- Flexibility to work holidays and weekends when needed
