Florida Care Partners (FCP) is a Florida statewide Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) that holds commercial and Medicare Advantage value-based health plan contracts and supports physician practices with an infrastructure to be successful in these contracts by providing network management services, performance-based data analytics and clinical care workflow resources. FCP is a physician-governed collaborative network committed to helping physicians access value-based contracts and maintain financial stability through the delivery of high quality, coordinated care that addresses unnecessary costs and improves the overall health of patients.


Position Summary:

The successful candidate will serve in a key leadership role responsible for finance and accounting, contract management, analytics/reporting, and financial process workflow to manage key value based payer agreement deliverables for a statewide Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) that holds value-based commercial, Medicare Advantage and direct employer agreements.  The core functions will support network attribution, distribution methodology and payment reconciliation, and the overall internal accounting workflow aligned with the management team’s strategic objectives.


Essential Functions and Principal Accountabilities:

  • Contract Management and Network Attribution
    • Develop and maintain monthly provider attribution files
    • Establish reimbursement budget and benchmarks for all network participants
    • Assist with rate/volume variance analysis for populations
    • Benchmark and routinely forecast contract performance
    • Maintain and update contract documents
  • Distribution Methodology & Payment Reconciliation
    • Help verify integrity and accounting accuracy of complicated gain-share arrangements
    • Reconcile monthly PMPM payments
    • Work with payers to resolve payment discrepancies
    • Process, distribute and reconcile physician and practice check requests and payments
  • Operations Finance
    • Prepare monthly budget analysis, including expense management and GL reconciliation
    • Assist with annual projections and budget preparation
    • Prepare monthly financial summaries for management and the Board
    • Work with Division office to ensure accuracy of general CIN accounting functions
    • Oversee equipment controls
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the CIN network strategy, goals and the technology used for finance, analytics and logistics of the data systems
  • Prepare business related analyses and research on financial data to identify trends and opportunities that drive management or clinical initiatives
  • Aide in executing reporting processes required to support population health initiatives, such as physician profiling, patient registries, cost/quality/utilization metrics, risk analytics and trending
  • Exhibit commitment to developing a team environment with other CIN staff
  • Provide data support for Board, Committees, and others as directed
  • Treat everyone with respect and professionalism at all times in all interactions, both written and verbal
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field with quantitative focus required
  • Five year’s work experience in healthcare insurance, population health, medical economics, bookkeeping, or operational data analysis in a healthcare setting
  • Experience developing cost trending reporting across multiple payer programs
  • Experience working on projects related to medical management, population health, or value-based care
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access, and strong working knowledge of general ledger systems
  • Possess strong quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills used to solve complex business problems
  • The ideal candidate will portray confidence, a sense of humor, and positive energy.
  • Handle multiple and potentially conflicting assignments, demands and priorities to meet required deadlines
  • Demonstrate an ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively on small project teams
