You Are:

A DevOps ace with deep technical know-how and hands-on

experience implementing various practices and tools in the DevOps toolchain.

Your not-so-secret talent? Designing and coding

modules—fast and safely—for infrastructure, applications, and processes. As an

emerging leader, you oversee client engagements to achieve the benefits that

DevOps can offer. You thrive in

fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environments and in team settings where you can

use your prodigious creative and analytical powers to pulverize problems. Communication and people

skills? You have both in spades,

along with serious leadership chops. Working in an information systems

environment makes you more than happy.

The Work:

+ Get DevOps up

and running by overseeing the execution of tools and processes in the DevOps

toolchain, and promote the DevOps culture in our

client organizations.

+ Help customers

with DevOps projects by providing them with technical, consultative, and

delivery services.

+ Serve as a trusted automation and tooling advisor for

DevOps initiatives by providing clients with objective, practical, and relevant


+ Work with the

development teams to meet acceptance criteria, gathering and documenting the

requirements. Help lead continuous integration, delivery, automation, and

infrastructure-as-code efforts for multiple cloud service offerings.

+ This includes

setting up and managing the operation of project development and test

environments as well as the software configuration management processes for the

entire application development life cycle.

+ Present regular status updates, and provide cross-training

and mentorship to junior DevOps members.

+ Help

clients transition to DevOps by driving adoption of tools and practices, and by

directing elements of the DevOps implementation.

Here’s What You Need:

+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience designing and implementing continuous delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns

+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment and management using tools like Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Chef, Maven, Ant, Ivy, UrbanCode, and Docker

+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery, and release of software

+ Minimum of 1 year’s experience working in an Agile delivery environment

+ A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (12 years) or an Associate’s Degree with 6 years of work experience

+ Racking up those air miles will have to wait, as weekly non-essential travel to client sites Monday through Thursday is currently suspended. For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.

Bonus Points if:

+ You’ve got experience in project or program management

+ You know how to define and manage the roadmap for implementation of DevOps in an established operation

+ You’re no newbie to working in a structured environment, including use of structured methods, approaches, and modern development tools

+ You’re familiar with technical architecture—that is, the design and delivery of IT systems for a broad range of clients
