Project Manager - Military Veterans

Family owned mechanical contractor is looking for a Project Manager. Company is a full service HVAC contractor with specialties in both pipe fitting and sheet metal and has been in business for over 90 years.

Project managers are expected to handle all day to day operations of each project they are assigned. Contract value of projects range from $5,000 up to $4,000,000. Individual will be expected to handle coordination and scheduling of jobsite material and manpower needs with owners, GC's, and subcontractors. PM is responsible for monitoring of weekly progress and being efficient minded in means and methods to get a job complete. Directing of manpower on a jobsite will be required. Project managers are expected to control job costs. Weekly site visits are required to monitor progress and track labor hours and material costs. Compiling and tracking of equipment submittals is required and timing material and equipment releases correctly according to stage of the project. Will often be the prime contract on a job which means the PM would be responsible for running progress meetings to update owners and coordinate with all subcontractors and work through jobsite issues. Providing and distributing meeting minutes to all parties involved with the job is a part of this process.

This is a contract to direct position with a complete benefits package available at transition.

• Candidate must possess OR be able to learn the concepts of mechanical systems and installation methods of pipe and duct systems in order to provide quality control and monitor conformity to project specifications.
• Candidate must have strong communication skills
• Candidate must have ability to think through and create project schedules and work flow.
• Candidate must be familiar with Microsoft project scheduling software.
• Candidate must be able to multi-task - keeping many balls in the air at the same time.
• Candidate must be able to maintain document control and track information proficiently.
• Candidate must have 4 year degree-does not have to be construction management or mechanical engineering related, but that would be a bonus.
• 2-3 years of experince is a plus
