The Division of Cardiovascular Health and Disease at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seek a cardiologist with advanced imaging expertise and training to support clinical growth in several key programs, including, but not limited to structural heart disease, adult congenital heart disease and heart failure-transplantation. Applicants for the faculty position with echocardiography and/or nuclear cardiology certification will be considered. Those with COCATS level 3 training are preferred. Applicants must qualify for a full-time faculty position at the rank(s) of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor in the Department of Medicine.
Minimum Requirements: Board certification in Internal Medicine, board eligibility or certification in Cardiovascular Diseases, training in cardiac imaging, ability to obtain an unrestricted Ohio State Medical License and DEA license. Experience in 3D-echocardiography, strain echocardiography, TEE, structural heart disease and/or advanced nuclear cardiology, including knowledge of image processing/reconstruction, solid state SPECT and coronary flow reserve is highly desirable. In addition, Cardiac CT and/or Cardiac PET experience is considered to be of added value to the group.
Cardiology faculty at University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC) are expected to contribute to ambulatory and hospital-based care, maintain active engagement in our education and training missions and participate in quality improvement, safety and research projects. New faculty will join an experienced team of cardiovascular imagers. Growth in the Cardiovascular Imaging section in the coming year will include the addition of an Endowed Chair in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging, dedication of a new centralized Imaging Center with expansive teaching capabilities, multi-split screen projection and remote reading functionality from several UC Health sites and a state of the art large bore cardiac capable MRI scanner.
The University of Cincinnati has a long history of clinical, education & research programs and offers many opportunities for collaboration within the College of Medicine as well as with Cincinnati Children's Medical Center. The Cardiology Division is comprised of almost 30 full time faculty members and nearly 20 fellows with broad subspecialty interests.
