The position is focused on leading the case management team and serving patients for our five regional hospitals including Transylvania Regional Hospital, Angel Medical Center and Highlands-Cashiers Hospital in our western region and Mission McDowell Hospital and Blue Ridge Hospital in our eastern region of Western North Carolina.

Job Summary:

The Manager, Regional Hospitals Case Management has the overall responsibility for managing and coordinating department activities as all regional acute care inpatient hospitals. The Manager ensures staff compliance with organizational policies and external regulatory agencies and takes leadership responsibility to coordinate the integration of the case management patient care and discharge planning processes with other related hospital departments and external agencies to ensure continuity of care and optimal clinical resource utilization. The Manager has oversight for all aspects of daily hospital case management operations and is accountable for achieving established outcomes through actively engaging interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. The Manager has twenty-four hour (24) seven responsibility for all operational aspects of the Department.

 

Required Education: Master's Degree in Nursing or Social Work required.

 

Required License: If registered nurse, must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.BCLS may be required for those leaders providing patient care.

 

Preferred License: Certification in Care Management. (ACMA certification preferred).

 

Required Experience: Two years of supervisory experience in inpatient hospital care. Three years hospital case management experience. Requires professional level of knowledge of case management, healthcare administration and utilization review. Must be self-motivated, outcome oriented, and possess the ability to effectively communicate and work well with all levels of the business. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet and Intranet software, e-mail.

 

Preferred Experience: Five years of hospital case management and/or utilization management preferred.
