We are seeking a polished, proactive, and professional Firmware Engineer to support the Firmware Department. In this role, you will be the engineer with strong embedded system knowledge and firmware development experience who can apply his/her expertise in embedded system's firmware design, development, and support for our next generation control systems in a firm that cultivates a close-knit and collaborative corporate culture.

We will look for you to showcase your strong embedded system knowledge and firmware development experience and apply your expertise in embedded system's firmware design, development, and support for our next generation video distribution systems.

This position is located in Rockleigh, NJ
  • Daily activities will include the full life-cycle of design, develop, modify, test, debug, and support the new, as well as the existing firmware for all our Digital Media products.
  • Work closely with Hardware and Software design engineers to solve cross-functional design issues.
  • Work with technical support to resolve problems in the field with existing product's firmware.
  • Provide technical documentation (test procedures, design specifications, etc.).
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience developing and debugging applications in an embedded system
  • Strong C/C++, embedded programming skills
  • Low Level Device driver experience
  • Experience with a Real Time Operating System (RTOS)
  • Experience with communication networks, protocols and protocol analyzers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing projects and deliver with confidence in a fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational sense
  • Motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong computer skills

The following additional skills a plus:
  • Experience with communication networks and protocols
  • Experience with analog and digital video
