We're looking for a Lead User Experience (UX) Designer to thoughtfully contribute to our award-winning electronic health record and physician practice management products. In this role, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary agile R&D team to define, design and test products and digital services with the goal of creating healthcare solutions on par with the best enterprise and consumer-oriented experiences-easy to use, effective, and satisfying. You will also set an example and establish best practices for more junior design colleagues. A successful candidate will embrace the challenge of solving meaningful problems that present the greatest opportunities to ease the burden on humans in healthcare by removing obstacles or creating better paths.

The Team: The Scheduling zone is creating an open platform in healthcare that will be used by patients and providers to find care. Our products and services will reduce cost, increase access, and improve healthcare outcomes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct primary and secondary research efforts
  • Design scalable, web-based product experiences
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in existing products
  • Identify and frame user-centered problems
  • Seek out and incorporate feedback from users and cross-functional teams
  • Promote and demonstrate design best practices for product owners, engineers, and more junior design collaborators
  • Proactively seek out and foster connections across the organization to support cohesion and consistency throughout the user's experience

  • 7+ years of professional UX design experience
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making skills
  • Passion for working in high-complexity problem space
  • Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Interest in developing a deep understanding of the US healthcare space
  • Outstanding storytelling & presentation skills
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating good taste, great interaction design skills, and attention to detail
