Job Summary

Amentum has an opening for a painter in Richmond, VA on 1st shift Monday - Friday (7:30AM-4PM). Business needs may require some weekend/evening work.

As the newest member of the maintenance team you will be responsible for interior prepping and painting of office spaces, hallways, restrooms, meeting rooms, equipment rooms, lobbies, and much more. You may also be required to do some dry wall or wallpaper repair in addition to assisting with general maintenace activities. This position requires someone to be very meticulous and produce high quality work.

You may be required to move furniture or equipment, erect scaffolding, sandblast, scrape, brush and burn surfaces for painting. You can't be afraid of heights as you could be working 30ft or higher.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
  • Three years of experience as a residential and/or commercial painter or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to work from heights, ladders and elevated platforms.
  • Must be able to move heavy objects, such as motors, etc. (may be more than 50 lbs).
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship/work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the operations and maintenance of an industrial, large commercial, or logistics / distribution environment.
  • Performing Preventive Maintenance and repairs on light industrial systems.
  • Experience performing mechanical repairs on facilities components and equipment.
  • Experience utilizing a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) or CMMS mobile device.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
