What you will do

In this role, you will be part of product development team to manage & deliver new product functionalities, modify existing product’s functionalities or verify product functionalities as required.

The Test Engineer-SW will work in Manual & Automation software test team in Test design, testing, and delivery.

You will work within a multi-disciplined engineering team consisting of electronics engineers, firmware engineers, software engineers, programmers and scientists focusing on applied research and new technology innovations to provide new and improved products and solutions for our customers.
Prior knowledge on product regulatory/certification standard like UL/ULC/IEC will be most preferred.

How you will do it

• Understand / analyze product or software requirements and tractability maintained
• Responsible for generating test plans, test cases, scripts and test cycles through automated tests or manual test processes
• Should work in both Manual & automation testing of windows based Software applications
• Responsible for desktop application functional testing, good experience on product/system testing on windows OS
• Prepares Test Reports, RTM & Summary reports for manual/automation tests
• Should be able to solve the technical issues independently or with the help of leads/ Sr. Engineers with less monitoring/guidance
• Support in Test Environment/ Setup are planned for testing
• Ensure product requirements and design specifications to ensure software development and test plans are aligned with PFS

What we look for

 Good analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria.
 Knowledge in making test plans , hands on executing test cases and good knowledge in testing methodologies, techniques
 Familiar with automation testing and controlled automated environment’s using software tools such as Ranorex, Test complete, Jenkins, JIRA and C# , WPF
 Experience in C# and Windows SW application testing
 Understanding of software analysis, design and testing techniques
 Ability to be a team player
 Ability to work in multi OS environments such as Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with detail as well as with general assignments
 A professional, results oriented individual with a high degree of self-motivation

• (3-5) years V&V in windows application testing, UI automation testing
• Working experience in product testing domains
• Person with attention to details and rigor for quality perfection

Specialized Skills:
 Manual software testing, windows application testing
 Software test automation techniques, Knowledge on UI automation framework
 Black box Test methodologies, processes, Test life cycle
 Knowledge of Fire Detection System would be an added advantage
 Person with attention to details and rigor for quality perfection
