Requisition Number: 2019 - 373 Business Unit: College of Medicine Department: Psychiatry 50000526 Reg-Temp: Full-Time Regular Position Summary: The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Nebraska Medicine is seeking several full-time or part-time faculty members to work in a state of the art, newly launched Psychiatry Emergency Services ( PES ) unit. The PES includes a crisis observation unit and a secure unit for individuals requiring a higher level of care. Primary clinical responsibilities will be coverage of the PES including direct patient care, leading the care team, and supervising staff and trainees. There are opportunities to be employed full time in the PES or to develop a blended model of academic, ambulatory and PES clinical duties. The PES is a 24 hour/7 days a week unit and psychiatrists will work in shifts to cover the unit. Requirements include MD or DO degree, board-certified/eligible in Psychiatry, and possession of a current license to practice medicine in the State of Nebraska.
