**SUMMARY**

**This opportunity will be a part time (20 hours per week) internship within the Ryder Audit Services Department supporting Sarbanes-Oxley 404 control testing (testing design and operating effectiveness of SOX controls). This will be a flexible working arrangement, allowing you to work around your class schedule.**

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

Ryder Audit Service interns will be expected to perform professional internal auditing work which includes the following job responsibilities:

+ Perform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing/analyzing evidence, and documenting auditee processes and procedures

+ Prepare working papers, conduct interviews, review documents, and compose summary memos

+ Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed

+ Communicate or assist in communicating the results of projects via written reports and oral presentations to management

+ Develop and maintain productive auditee and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings

+ Maintaining all organizational and professional ethical standards

**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

Performs other duties as assigned.

**EDUCATION**

Bachelor's degree Currently enrolled toward a degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ Pursuing an Accounting or Finance degree (sophomore, junior, or senior level) or Masters in Accounting from an accredited institution

+ Must have at least a 3.0 grade point average (based on a 4-point scale)

**Preferred Qualifications:**

In addition to meeting the above qualifications, the following is preferred:

+ Grade point average of 3.5 or higher (based on 4-point scale)

+ Completed Auditing and Accounting Information Systems courses

**EXPERIENCE**

+ Communicate effectively with senior leadership/executive audiences

+ Work within established deadlines

+ Successfully complete a background check and drug test

**SKILLS**

+ Strong written and oral communication skills

+ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products

+ Ability to analyze complex business issues and make sound business decisions

+ Leadership, analytical, and teamwork skills

**KNOWLEDGE**

Strong PC skills (Windows, MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel); intermediate level.
