·         Drives truck with capacity up to three tons and usually six wheels to transport materials to and from specified destinations.

·         Assist in loading the truck for morning deliveries.

·         Prepare delivery schedule.

·         Delivers materials at locations designated by customer.

·         Obtains customer’s signature for proof of delivery and help to unload truck.

·         Assist the Branch Operations Manager in assuring proper maintenance is performed.

·         Perform the duties of Warehouse Associate when not driving the truck and making deliveries.

·         Select materials for shipment.

·         Restock bins and tables.

·         Performs functions necessary to keep warehouse neat and orderly.

EXPERIENCE:

·         2 years truck driving

 

EDUCATION:

·         High School Degree or Equivalent required, CDL license required

 

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

 

·         Able to work in a team environment.

·         Detail oriented.

·         Possesses a valid truck driver license and CDL certification.

Working Environment:

·         Driver – Work is generally performed in moving vehicle.  Driving required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts.  Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

·         Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds.

·         Work may require excessive bending or stooping.

·         Employee required to sit and drive a vehicle to perform their job.

·         Employee required to climb ladders.

·         Employee required to use hand tools.

·         Employee uses heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.).

·         Employee required to organize and coordinate schedules.

·         Employee required to communicate with the public.
