Pharmacy Technician I - Military Veterans

Position Purpose: Work directly under the Pharmacist’s supervision to accurately prepare prescription orders to ship to patients in a timely manner.

  • Position Responsibilities:
  • Locate correct medication and strength to complete order then prepare, count, label and package for pharmacist approval, and maintain prescription logs.
  • Maintain stock in the Pharmacy to ensure levels are appropriate to meet patient demand.
  • Comply with all safety, quality assurance, and accreditation, legal, state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis.
  • Remove discontinued, expired or recalled medicines and prepare for return or destruction, and complete all required documentation.
  • Accurately use and care for all pharmacy equipment according to policy.
  • Assist to maintain pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs with proper maintenance and documentation as required by policy.


    • Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience and be familiar to drugs. Must be detailed oriented.

    License/Certification: Current state’s Pharmacy Technician License
