JOB SUMMARY
At Houston Methodist, the Mobile Product Manager position is a core member of a the mobile team focused on building a mobile experience for consumers and patients of Houston Methodist. The product manager position will create, analyze, determine, prioritize, validate and measure features, experiences, and enhancements for Houston Methodist  Mobile Products, as directed by management, usage feedback, and general solicitation from our patients, visitors, and clinical staff. Collaborate with application development, product and design teams to craft and translate user requests into feature and product workflows and requirements. Engages with consumer and patient facing teams to understand the customer challenges and needs. Aligns priorities and tracks features from inception through launch and tracks adoption. Serves as a subject matter guide in the areas of modern mobile application development and mobile development management.

1. Manages customer expectations and works as a servant leader to advance utilization, enhancement and adoption of assigned application. (EF)
2. Effectively engages and interfaces with all stakeholders within or outside the organization to communicate and translate all aspects related to the assigned product. (EF)
3. Drives recommendations for the product lifecycle and planning processes. Collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams to remove roadblocks, facilitate compromise, provide clarification and insight, prioritization, and go-to-market strategy.
4. Fosters relationships and engages in regular communications within the department, IT and the organization at large. (EF)

SERVICE - 20 %
1. Utilizes excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization while exercising judicious flexibility in a dynamic, ever changing environment to achieve mobile product utilization and adoption goals. (EF)
2. Converts complex digital design into simple and intuitive product that translates into usable products for the consumer. (EF)
3. Communicates timely and effectively to  teams and stakeholders. Resolves and/or escalate issues utilizing appropriate communication. (EF)

QUALITY/SAFETY - 20 %
1. Ensures a positive user experience and proactively address product challenges. (EF)
2. Communicates on behalf of the customer through research, appointment and event scheduling, and the patient access services teams to internal stakeholders prioritize work on the app.(EF)
3. Drives the ideation and planning of user discovery activities to define business problems and test/validate solutions.

FINANCE 10 %
1. Makes timely, effective, principles-based decisions that utilize resources effectively.  (EF)
2. Identifies innovative ways that drive revenue opportunities and/or create cost savings.

GROWTH/INNOVATION - 25 %
1. Drives innovation that advances the application roadmap in a transformative way through knowledge of new technologies, methodologies that support productivity, workflow, production, efficiency, and effectiveness. (EF)
2. Stays abreast of immerging technology trends and seeks out innovative solutions to address mobile product management.
3. Serves as a change agent to advance the growth, use and acceptance of the Houston Methodist Mobile  apps (EF)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
o Bachelors degree in Science, Engineering, Business or other relevant course of study.
o Masters degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
o Seven years of related IT or product experience including but not limited to mobile application design and development.
o Seven years experience in product management, product design or equivalent consultant experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
o Certificate in product management preferred. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
o Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
o Exhibits sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security.
o Effectively communicates with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
o Ability to clearly inform and evaluate engineering decisions.
o Working knowledge of project management best practices, SDLC and ITIL principles.
o Strong oral and written communication skills.
o Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques to gain exceptance of ideas or plans.
