Under the Supervision of the Master Supply Technician the Stock Clerk receives, stores,turn-ins and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse or storage yard.



    1. Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice.
    2. Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
    3. Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material.
    4. Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
    5. Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock.
    6. Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.
    7. Process material for turn-in (recoverable and or excess)
    8. Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory count and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
    9. May make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock and may cut stock to site to fill orders.
    10. Able to react to change productively and handleadditional tasks as assigned
    11. Other duties may be assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
    12. Job duties and responsibilites may change due to contractual requirements


Stock Clerk will be required to operate a forklift or other related material handling equipment. Safety shoes and other personal protection equipment such as face mask, safety vest, hard hat, gloves, and eye wear may be required dependent upon assigned work area.



Stock Clerk functions in an office and shop environment in a stationary position approximately 50 percent of the time or more. However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the outdoors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic condition. Must be able to operate standard office equipment like a computer, copy machine and printer. Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. Employee may occasionally be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Rarely will an employee be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise. A normal work week is 40 hours (5 days per week) Must be willing to work additional hours when mission requires 



  1. Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling loads up to 50 pounds.
  2. Operates a GSA vehicle as required in, on, and around the local area.





  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required
  2. Working knowledge and operational experience with GCSS-Army preferred.
  3. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
  4. Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.
  5. Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels.
  6. Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable.
  7. Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  8. Must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copier, fax machine and printer.
  9. Able to react to change productively and handle additional tasks as assigned.
  10. Valid state driver’s license is required.
  11. Must be ableto succcessfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.



 Working knowledge of GCSS-Army is preferred. Position requires a general familiarity with computer input elements to perform functional activities such as data entry, data verification, transaction preparation and reprocessing of corrections. Possess the ability to understand SOPs, Work Instructions, Army Regulations, Technical Manuals and applicable Department of Defense forms.
