Job Description:

Member of Enterprise Data Management Governance - Data Quality Controls Testing Team responsible for independently conducting qualitative assurance on data movement and data quality controls. The role will be dynamic in nature and require the individual to be able to handle diverse work efforts. Candidate will work closely with DQCE, DSE, and FLU partners to obtain clear understanding of controls environment, business processes, and data movement in order to assess data quality risks within domain assets. Candidate will work across teams within EDMG to ensure collaborated communication with stakeholders for introductions, status updates, and audit asks. Successful candidate will have strong relationship management skills, be competent with project tracking, and understanding of technical documents, including database administration, Disaster Recovery efforts, resiliency and backup layer management, and database development

Responsibilities include:

  • Execute controls testing and reviews
  • Analysis on Data Domain assets using enterprise catalogue tools such as EDR, BTConverge, etc.
  • Reporting to stakeholders (Data Quality Control Executives, Data Steward Executives, and Data Domain managers)
  • Review of technical documents to assess control efficiencies
  • Succinctly document findings and clearly communicate them to business partners

Required Job Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in one of the following areas: software development, quality assurance, audit, operational risk or data analysis.
  • Basic SQL/PL, basic Unix scripting, and basic knowledge of software development.
  • Strong Office Product Skills (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc.)
  • Ability to work under pressure, calmly within tight deadlines and escalate appropriately.
  • Strong quantitative skills, critical thinking, and the ability to support multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Drive to learn about data management community and how stakeholders are connected.

Desired Job Skills:

  • Informatica Certification, PL/SQL certification, or other tool certifications
  • Bank of America Experience
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal instruction
  • IT Audit or Governance background
  • Understanding of EDMG Standards and Policy

Note: Role is on the private side of the Bank.

Enterprise Role Overview:

Understands and works across teams on all downstream provisioning requirements for the domain. Assists with an inventory of all applications in the data flow for the domain. Supports data domain adherence to EDM Standards, including implementation and monitoring of all required transport controls and maintenance of all required metadata. Assists in remediation of data incidents.
