POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Reports to the Property Supervisor and leads a team in receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and disposing of Government Property. Conducts monthly 10% cyclic inventory, sensitive item inventory, and a reconciliation of excess Government Property. Updates Property Custodians hand receipt and ensure transactions are posted. Prepares and submits reports to the government providing detailed information on routine and special reports. Provides support to Program Management identifying problematic areas and resolutions.


Responsibilities

 


MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:


  1. Leads teams to accomplish provided tasks to standard.

  2. Counts, sorts incoming government property to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.

  3. Updates Property Book in Maximo.

  4. Validates Purchase Request.

  5. Prepares daily CDRLs for Inventory, Receipts, Issues, and others as required by the Performance Work Statement. 

  6. Marks identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles, using labeling equipment.

  7. Identifies Government Property ensuring markings are affixed and legible.

  8. Moves or transports Government Property or supplies to other departments, using Pallet Jack, Forklift or industrial truck.

  9. Responsible for Physical Security of Sensitive Items and ensures they are stored in accordance with all Army Regulations and local policy.

  10. Identifies Excess Government Property in the work areas and works to disposition accordingly.

  11. Ensures Government Property is being maintained appropriately.

  12. Prepares, reads and analyzes records and reports necessary to execute actions routinely. 

  13. Must be able to access secure locations.

 

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:  


Personal computer, printers, network equipment and other general office equipment. Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to include manual and self powered lifts.


 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:


Work is generally conducted in an office environment. However, duties also involve going into an out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work will on occasion involve stooping; prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting.  Working in a military environment brings the potential for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas, but not on a daily basis. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules.

 


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:


Individual should be able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.


 


Qualifications

 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.


High School Diploma. Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal.

 


Experience:


3 years of experience in Property Management/ Inventory Management. Related Military experience in Supply and Logistics.


Functional, comprehensive working knowledge of the Federal Acquisitions and Regulations for Property Management.


Working knowledge of supply room operations and inventory management is required.


 


Skills:


  1. NPMA, Certified Property Specialist or above

  2. Use of SPBS-R. ULLS S-4, SARRS, or similar systems

  3. Material Handling Equipment (Fork Lift Operation, Pallet Jack, Hand Truck)

  4. Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills

  5. Ability to deliver training on his/her area of expertise to the lowest level

  6. Strong analytical skills

  7. WMS experience with Maximo, SAP, Oracle or similar systems

  8. Customer service training
