Supervises and leads a team in receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and disposing of Government Furnished and Contractor Acquired Materiel.  Coordinates and supervises monthly 10% cyclic inventory, receipt and break down of customer material. Update MAXIMO transactions and verify accuracy of records.  Supervise between1-10 staff. Prepare and submit reports to the Materiel Management Supervisor providing detailed information on routine and special reports. Provide support to Program Management identifying problematic areas and resolutions. Smart Card should have the ability to obtain one.


  1. Supervise a team to accomplish provided tasks to standard.

  2. Count, sort incoming material to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.

  3. Update material records in Maximo

  4. Validate Purchase Requests, MILSTRIP Requisitions, Clothing Issues, and Cost accounts.

  5. Runs daily reports in MAXIMO and evaluates the stockage level and stock on hand to determine actions required. 

  6. Ensures locations are properly marked, matched and recorded in MAXIMO.

  7. Identify and catalog all material on hand or on order for adequate store.

  8. Supervises the transportation of supplies to other departments, using Pallet Jack, Forklift or industrial truck as required.

  9. Responsible for Physical Security of material under his/her control that are stored in accordance with the FAR and local policy.

  10. Identify Excess material in stock and request disposition accordingly.

  11. Ensure material is being maintained appropriately and identify for disposition material with an expired shelf life.

  12. Prepare, read and analyze records and reports necessary to execute actions routinely. 



Personal computer, printers, network equipment and other general office equipment. Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to include manual and self powered lifts.



Work is generally conducted in an office environment. However, duties also involve going into an out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work will on occasion involve stooping; prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting.  Working in a military environment brings the potential for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas, but not on a daily basis. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules




Individual should be able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.




Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal.



3 years of experience in Materiel/Property Management.

1 year supervisory experience at the team level or higher

Functional, comprehensive working knowledge of the Federal Acquisitions and Regulations for Materiel/Property Management

Working knowledge of supply room operations and inventory management is required.



  1. Use of MILSTRIP Automation, or similar systems

  2. Materiel Handling Equipment (Fork Lift Operation, Pallet Jack, Hand Truck)

  3. Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills

  4. Supervisory Training

  5. Ability to deliver training on his/her area of expertise to the lowest level

  6. Strong analytical skills

  7. WMS experience with Maximo, SAP, Oracle or similar systems

  8. Customer service training
