Act as technical advisor to support Carrier Strike Group and/or the Expeditionary Strike Group /Amphibious ready Group Staff during installation and testing of C4ISR systems. Provide end-to-end technical support for C4ISR, RF, and IT systems; assist CSG/ESG and others staffs with speed-to-capability technology insertions; provide feedback to COMSPAWAR/PEO C4I/PEO EIS on system performance, design and logistics issues. Work with local and distance support maintenance/support organizations to resolve technical issues.

1.    As Technical Advisor to ARG/CSG Staff N6, provide assist in troubleshooting C4ISR issues and make recommendations concerning issue resolution and system employment and optimization. 

2.    Works with shipboard technicians, staff officers, In Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) and other technicians, installation engineers, Fleet Readiness Directorate staff, and others as required to ensure required end-to-end connectivity to satisfy fleet C4ISR requirements.

3.    Documents issues and resolution of issues using Daily Status Reports.  Provides reports to Fleet Readiness Directorate as directed.

4.    Provides OJT on systems for shipboard and shore technicians. May be required to mentor civilian/government technicians.

5.     Assist shipboard technicians in preparation of systems for inspections.  Assist with SOVT and SOT when directed.

6.    Candidate must be capable of working independently with little or no supervision in a high operations tempo environment, and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including shipboard deployments between 4-12 weeks and other overseas travel.



Navy computer systems and Remedy ITSM will be used primarily. 


Candidates primary work will be aboard Navy ships, and may be based out of a Vectrus office or government office/lab when not required aboard ship.  In order to provide required service to fleet assets, work at times other than normal working hours may be required. Premium pay will be paid for underway periods.



Personnel may be required to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. Individual must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted and meet U.S. Navy medical requirements as detailed in COMUSFLTFORCOM/COMPACFLT 6320.3A.




Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Minimum of BS in Information Technology (or equivalent technical degree) and 12+ years technical experience in related discipline. 10 years technical experience with Afloat Navy or Navy C4I systems required.  Certification as IAT2 (per DoD Inst 8750.1 and Navy requirements) with appropriate IA certification required and computing environment certification highly desired.




Minimum of 6 years of experience with Navy C4I, with experience in some of the following required: Legacy HF (URT-23/R-2368), HFRG, DMR, WSC-3(V)3,7,&11, WSC-6(V)5,7,&9, WSC-8, USC-69, USC-38 and WSC-9. Working knowledge of baseband and patching systems such as ADNS INC II, INCIII with SP2/3, SA-2112 and TVS/Cornet desired.  Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.  Experience using Remedy for ticket documentation/resolution desired.  General experience with the configuration, operations and troubleshooting of Naval Afloat Networks such as ISNS, CANES and SWAN required. Knowledge of Command and control display systems, GCCS-M preferred. Experience with Information Assurance � OSE-CND suite(HBSS and McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator) and network/system scanning tools required.   





Must be able to troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity involving multiple sites and systems. Must be able to communicate well both orally and in writing.  Must be able to communicate well with senior Navy officials and technical personnel.  Must be able to provide OJT to technical personnel and review/understand technical documentation.
