Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented COS Technical Operations Team Lead–ACS to join our team in the Northern Virginia area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The Contingency Operations and Special Events Program (COS) Technical Operations Team Lead–ACS serves as the COS Team Leader for the ACS platform.
  • The ACS Team Leader supports U.S. Diplomatic Security (DS), Protective Technology Branch requirements for developing and maintaining the ACS program within DS.
  • While serving primarily within CONUS, the Team Leader is required to travel to multiple locations overseas.
  • This position primarily provides staff support to DOS operations within CONUS and travels overseas in direct support of the ACS platform.
  • These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research and development within the project lifecycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing, and rolling out solutions.
  • The Team Leader consolidates project documentation to reflect a consolidated design and schedule for the Branch to present to the Government for each event.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly reports to the COS Program Lead and is required to assist and direct contractor personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess more than ten (10) years of successful experience in communications or a related field and demonstrates key responsibilities and knowledge.
    • Core responsibilities for this position include overall project management for the ACS platform. The Team Leader is responsible for requirements gathering, test plan development, application testing, creation and implementation of integration procedures, and creating and maintaining smart device operating system (OS) configuration for ACS mobile device management (MDM) enrollment as well as high-quality deliverables articulating requirements, configurations and test plans.
  • Acts as the SME and collaboratively work with vendors, both on- and off-site, that support MDM solutions.
  • Demonstrates and applies broad knowledge of specialization through successful completion of complex assignments and supports the program with acquisition management and system-level technical expertise.
  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, execute and monitor both technical and advanced training programs.
  • Conducts technical assessments of system specifications, system design, and interoperability of the ACS platform and recommends system enhancements.
  • Must have superior oral and written communication skills and prepare and present professional presentations, both formally and informally, and have the organizational skills to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Other required experience includes: operating and maintaining dismounted command and control systems (Nett Warrior, Tactical Assault Kit (TAK), Tactical Local Area Network (TACLAN), or like system); installing and configuring routers, switches, networking devices, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, Active Directory, Structured Query Language (SQL) server, Domain Controller, Windows Web Services, and Virtual Machine Software (VMware); integrating unmanned aerial vehicle and sensors into command and control applications; experience with Long-Term Evolution technology (LTE), satellite communications, and situational awareness applications and systems.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build/maintain professional working relationships, and be proactive with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows OS and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Must be eligible for a TS/SCI to meet full performance requirements.

Travel Requirements:

  • May be required to travel OCONUS to conduct installation, training or maintenance at diplomatic facilities.
  • OCONUS travel may include critical threat locations around the world with austere living conditions.
  • Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.

Physical Requirements:

  • Mainly works in an indoor office environment- uses a computer and other office equipment and moves about to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
