Overview

Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Tactical Data Link (TDL) Capabilities and Limitations (C&L) located in Langley AFB, VA. This position will Manage, maintain, and oversee USAF TDL C&L requirements and processes. TDL C&L provides TDL planners and users an information and planning resource tool to improve operation and performance of tactical systems and data links, offering interoperability data, lessons learned, and approved workarounds to known technical issues/system anomalies.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  •  At least four (4) years recent experience (within last 10 years) at MAJCOM Staff or equivalent level working TDL and Multi-TDL interoperability analysis, configuration management, data management, staff processes, requirements development, and applicable military standards (US Mil-Std 3011, 6011, 6016, 6017, 6020).
  • At least three (3) years of recent experience (within past 10 years) with service oriented architectures (SOAs) and web services.
  • At least three (3) years of recent experience (within past 10 years) with web development.

 

OR

  • At least five (5) years of recent experience (within past 10 years) of analytical principles to support complex research and analysis requirements.
  • At least five (5) years recent experience (within past 10 years) working TDL and Multi-TDL interoperability, configuration management, data management, staff processes, requirements development, and applicable military standards (US Mil-Std 3011, 6011, 6016, 6017, 6020).
  • At least three (3) years of recent experience (within past 10 years) with service oriented architectures (SOAs) and web services.
  • At least three (3) years of recent experience (within past 10 years) with web development.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Data Collection: Update/Author C&L material, which characterizes how warfighters share information across TDLs. Data collection efforts will focus on providing TDL C&L information and technically approved Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) on AF TDL systems.
  • Technical Authoring: Once technical information has been collected, review the inputs and perform technical authoring duties, writing descriptive C&L information following jointly agreed upon core TDL Aspects.
  • Information Vetting: Distribute newly developed C&L material to the appropriate weapon system’s technical community for their agreement on its validity/relevance. This includes vetting by the weapon system’s Program Office or Program Office-assigned Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Technical Editing: Ensure all C&L information meets the agreed-upon C&L business rules, including ensuring proper security classification markings are applied to all material as well as check both spelling and formatting for consistency and correctness.
  • Provide analytical assessments addressing impacts on existing allied message standards and systems technical accuracy effect on doctrine and identification of potential problems and provide solutions and recommendations for implementation.
  • Attend and provide technical support for Air Force, Joint and Coalition-related multi-TDL meetings.
