Position Description:

The Lead Technologist is responsible for organizing, problem solving informing, consulting, supporting, and networking. The Lead Technologist works with the staff and physicians, assesses the situation, assists with problem solving and prevention, prioritization and contingency planning. The Lead Tech is responsible for the interventional vascular cases primarily in the Hybrid OR with support to vascular cases in the Cath Lab. Assumes call schedule responsibilities for the Hybrid OR.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
High School Diploma/GED; basic and advanced EKG courses.

Experience:
Previous Leadership experience is preferred. Prefer 5 years of experience in performing advanced interventional vascular procedures.

Licensure/Certifications:
  • Maintains current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (ACLS) and Certification certification required.
  • RCIS or ARRT or cardiac/vascular nursing certification within two (2) years of hire.  
Special Qualifications:
Knowledge of proper sterile technique. Knowledge of vascular anatomy. Strong knowledge of hemodynamcis and monitoring. Able to troubleshoot, teach and use Volcano, uvus, Merge and Allura Xper FD20 System.
