Logistic Engineer

  • Serves as Logistic Engineer for U.S. Navy ship programs. Provides logistics support services.

Job Description:
  • Apply knowledge of logistics best practices and procedures for both government and commercial policies.
  • Work with shipyard team to ensure logistics considerations are incorporated.
  • Support IPTs representing the product support interests and the functional logistics elements teams to complete deliverables on time and on budget.
  • Report to the Manager and is responsible for the oversight of all product support activities and ensures that each ship logistics requirement are delivered and in compliance.
  • Operate within a short lead time and changing requirements.

Job Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience working US Navy new ship acquisition and sustainment programs.
  • Must have a background in ship logistics, design interface support, technical manual development, PMS development, provisioning and training.
  • Must have a mastery of Microsoft Word and Excel, and familiarity with Military Documentation Standards(MILSTDS).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous U. S. Navy HM&E experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills

Security Requirements:
  • Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel-up to 10%.
