Overview

PURPOSE


The HR Business Partner works closely with the Regional HR Manager to support regional and operational management to achieve business objectives. He/she supports a wide range of key HR initiatives driving business performance and acts as the point-person for frontline leaders in the field for any day-to-day HR related issues.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, promoting, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
• Partners with the Regional HR Manager to provide coaching to frontline supervisors on employee relations matters.
• Actively engages in communications with other HR team members around best process, practices, and systems use pushing for simplicity and consistency where prudent.
• Conducts or participates in completing investigations into employee relations issues related to company policy, pay, work environment, etc.
• Addresses labor relations issues, investigates and processes union grievances, and assists local management with administration of collective bargaining agreements.
• Supports implementation of Corporate Human Resources programs and policies for the business.
• Supports talent acquisition activities for exempt and hourly positions including preparing offer letters.
• Actively supports HR Manager with onboarding and orientation activities for employees.
• Participates in HR-related projects for the region as well as country where appropriate.
• Ensures field operations are in compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Conducts HR-related research and performs analytical work in support of business issues.
• Serves as back-up supporting HR Manager as required.

 

RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
• This role will have a high level of interaction with line managers and HR Director/Manager. The incumbent must have ability to build relationships and get up to speed quickly on needs of the operations and offer solutions.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES


Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Human Resources or Related Field
Required Work Experience: 3-5 years working as a HR Generalist, Specialist, or Business Partner
Required Computer and Software Skills: Strong computer skills with proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other applications. HRIS experience strongly preferred. Workday a plus.

 

Travel Requirements: Occasional overnight travel to be less than 10%


Additional Requirements:
• Labor relations experience preferred.
• Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills with high degree of thoroughness and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Successful HR track record with progressive responsibilities
