The Crestron Web UI team delivers end user interfaces for all our products, including embedded devices such as video distribution systems, audio distribution systems, touch panels and control system. In addition, the team delivers the front end user interface for all our Cloud offerings. This is an exciting opportunity to design and develop some of our highest impact user interfaces across many different technologies. The look and feel of this user interface will represent the face of Crestron all of our users on a daily basis. It is an opportunity to present modern, slick, efficient, and functional workflow to our users, and reinforce that impression every day.

We are looking for a Lead UI designer with Angular and HTML web development skills. We want you to help lead our UI development team using your UI design skills and implementation know-how to create the next generation user interfaces for many of our products. This is an opportunity to weave your unique design skills throughout the UI of our most popular products.
  • Work with architects, designers, decision makers, and stakeholders to analyze product requirements and determine the work effort and estimate the necessary time-to-completion.
  • Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of features, working with multiple teams, both onshore and offshore.
  • Document new development, procedures or test plans as needed and verify requirement coverage.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team and help resolve any critical issues or conflicts.
  • Actively evaluate new web trends and standards, recommend new and emerging technologies, and share learning.
  • Design and Develop Web-based user interfaces across many platforms ranging from embedded web servers to Cloud level environments.
  • Accomplish work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching; and identifying and implementing work process improvements to deliver high quality.
  • Work in an Agile development environment using advanced Scrum methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience with accomplishments.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of web development experience with proficiency in Angular, NodeJS, JavaScript, JQuery, Typescript, HTML 5, CSS3, JSON, XML.
  • Experience with networking protocols and concepts including TCP/UDP client and server applications, WebSockets and REST API's.
  • 5+ years of experience planning, designing, and delivering web projects and leading development teams.
  • Experience working closely with multiple stakeholders, architects, Project Managers, UX designers, technology managers and engineering teams.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams across different time zones.
  • Solid knowledge of browser behavior, performance, compatibility, and cross-browser issues.
  • Experience and understanding of web testing and performance optimization.
  • Must have a deep understanding of core JavaScript concepts.
  • Must have a deep understanding of Angular2+ architecture and best practices.
  • Must have a strong command of layout, theming and typography using HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Proven track record of successfully adopting new web technologies at an enterprise-wide level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
