As the Sr. Accounting Analyst, you will report to the Manager of General Accounting in the Financial Shared Services department supporting multiple businesses, plants, and worksites across North America. We're looking for an innovative and process improvement-oriented candidate to drive automation and quality. 

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: 

  • Support Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) accounting, including posting financials and reviewing SOX controls across multiple businesses and segments
  • Drive various project work related to streamlining accounting processes and controls through automation and improving documentation.
  • Support integration of remote accounting teams into accounting processes.
  • Play an integral part in the month-end close process.
  • Perform maintenance of highly diverse accounts and analysis, with an eye toward process improvement.
  • Reconcile accounting data and maintain various ledgers, journals, registers and other fiscal records.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-8 years related experience.
  • Big 4 experience and CPA strongly preferred, or working to obtain CPA. 
  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally, manage ambiguity, and work independently. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and theories of financial statements and reports, accounting ledgers and journals and of computer technology related to accounting systems.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience.

Highly specialized expertise in areas such as public accounting, financial regulations, and developing complex accounting systems. Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and theories of financial statements and reports, accounting ledgers and journals and of computer technology related to accounting systems.
