Seeking an experienced ER Nurse for AssistantNurse Manager Day position.

Lankenau is named a certifiedChest Pain Center, certified Primary Stroke Center, and Level IITrauma Center, offering the expertise and protocols to help ensure thepatient is diagnosed accurately and treated promptly.

TheAssistant Nurse Manager works directly with the Manager to ensure safe, highquality patient care in an efficient and organized manner. The Assistant NurseManager accepts responsibility for assigned areas under the direction of theNurse Manager such as directing work for, approving schedule changes andovertime, managing employee performance and completing assigned performanceappraisals. They ensure appropriate staffing needs are met, through schedulingand staffing. The Assistant Nurse Manager demonstrates the knowledge and skillsnecessary for overseeing patient care activities in a fiscally sound manner andassures operational efficiency. The Assistant Nurse Manager workscollaboratively with other departments to ensure quality patient care,satisfaction and a culture of safety while assuring a superior patientexperience. The Assistant Nurse Manager facilitates shared decision-makinginitiatives, at the clinical, departmental, and system levels, resulting in atop decile outcomes in safety, patient experience & quality. The AssistantNurse Manager functions in accordance with professional practice standards asset forth by the American Nurses Association, PA Nurse Practice Act, regulatorystandards and MLH policies and procedures.

1. Graduation from an accredited school of professionalnursing.
2. BSN preferred, other related Bachelors Degree or pursuing required; MSN orother related Masters Degree preferred.
3. Ability to communicate proficiently in English to perform job duties.

Licensures & Certifications:

1. A current PA RN license.
2. Maintains validation of current BLS training (CPR).
3. Certification in specialty area desired.

Experience:

1. Unit-specific. Prior charge nurse experience or other related leadershipexperience preferred. Three to five years clinical experience in area ofresponsibility preferred.
