Job Description Summary

This role will serve to help the Global Enterprise Architect (EA) execute the vision of the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and ensure that the enterprise landscape for Cushman & Wakefield remains up-to-date, supportable, and efficient.

We are looking for a Junior Enterprise Architect to help plan, execute, and measure the strategy of the EA across the global landscape of Cushman & Wakefield. This role will assist in evaluating new solutions as they are proposed/introduced to the environment, evaluate the existing portfolio of applications and technologies as part of a continuous cycle of evaluation and rationalization, and identify opportunities for rationalization and synergy. This role will also assist in managing the Application Architecture Working Group, a community of professionals within the firm who have interests and concerns with application development & ownership.

  • Meet with stakeholders to discuss and gather information on technologies, applications, and services
  • Review architectures and proposed system design documents for compliance with standards
  • Educate application owners on better practices and standards
  • Maintain the master inventory of applications, technologies, domains, and standards
  • Write new standards based on changing application landscape
  • Develop better practice documentation & artifacts
  • Coordinate and facilitate the community of application professionals within C&W
  • Provide consultation and architecture support to the business and TDS teams and initiatives on application architecture and technologies
  • Engage with stakeholders to determine how enterprise platforms enable organizational business strategies and functions.
  • Assist with developing TDS strategies and design enterprise architectures that align TDS capabilities to strategic business goals and priorities.
  • Assess and adapt Architecture Frameworks to operational processes, business process, services, capabilities, systems, and data views to meet program objectives.
  • Analyze enterprise business, systems and applications, and technology environments.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated suite of key program EA products, including current and target EA roadmaps, and the Fractal product that has been custom built to meet the EA mission.

  • Demonstrable understanding of development processes and agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of EA concepts, methodologies, techniques, and frameworks, for example TOGAF, FEAF, DoDAF, or Zachman or modelling techniques, including BPMN 2.0
  • Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with team members
  • Successful interaction with teams in an on/offshore model

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Technical/Solution Architect
  • 5+ years’ accumulative experience
  • Strong creativity and critical thinking skills
  • Good understanding of and ability to discuss cloud architecture and principles of modern platforms including SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure, etc.
  • Experience gathering and analysing business requirements; documenting their technical implementation
  • Good understanding of enterprise application integration technologies as well as common EA topics such as person-based journeys, process orchestration, master data management, analytics and insights, artificial intelligence, etc.
  • Good understanding of security processes, standards & issues involved in multi-tier cloud or hybrid applications
  • Good communication skills in creating and maintaining technical documentation

Qualifications

  • Degree in IT, Engineering, natural sciences, business IT degree or in any quantitative discipline
