We are seeking a Software Development Manager who will lead and manage a team of software developers and engineers. You will work closely with the management team, technical leads, product owners and government stakeholders to ensure the robust quality software delivers value to the government. You will be expected to innovate and contribute new ideas, maintain the highest level of code quality and increase team velocity by predicting potential issues and solving unpredictable issues

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in a technology, engineering, computer science or related discipline
  • 10+ years of development experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing, supporting and mentoring a cross functional agile team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands on experience leading software development teams in a scaled agile environment utilizing a modern DevOps software development pipeline to deliver large, complex software development projects that require parallel work streams with high quality
  • Provides technical guidance
  • Participates in architectural designs
  • Assist with designing and evaluating new features and capabilities
  • Self-managed, has strong self-organization skills, and is eager to contribute
  • Eager to explore new technologies, and develop new skills to advance your team
  • Challenges the status quo, hungry to explore, evaluate, and understand new technologies, and wish to share insights and mentor your team
  • Experience working with federal government clients, subcontractors and stakeholders
  • Current with the latest advances in the following areas:
    • Microservices
    • Web applications
    • Restful API
    • Complex integration with distributed systems
    • Integration with AWS services
  • Experience with AWS services. Serverless is an advantage
  • Experience with containerization solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Ensures an intentional design is implemented which supports development, delivery and deployment of capabilities into operations on multiple environments
  • Ensures rapid delivery of capabilities
  • Ensures technical debt is managed
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly
